The way the Police Laser Guns get your Speed

  • The laser gun sends out a very narrow laser beam filled with invisible light pulses, pointed at your license plate or headlights. The laser beam reflects off your vehicle, back to the laser gun Defeats constantly when laser is detected.
  • The time required from transmission until the reflection is received is calculated by the computer of the laser gun. This measurement is made about 70 times in 1/3 of a second for fast, high accuracy.

Jamming Methodology of Laser Mask LCM-1

  • A laser module adds laser "noise" to the reflected signal. The Laser Mask LCM-1 correctly analyzes the incoming laser gun pulse, which is different from manufacture to manufacturer, and gets past the laser gun filters to cause the speed gun display panel to remain blank.
  • The various laser gun signal profiles are stored in processor memory, and when a laser signal is detected, the first 3 of 70 pulses are analyzed to define what code we use to mimic their signal with noise. By the time the 4th pulse is detected, the Laser Mask LCM-1 has already started to defeat the laser gun. This analysis and response occurs extremely fast, and the laser gun does not even have a chance.
  • The Lasermask constantly scans for laser, but defeats only during the alert phase, thus providing long life for the product. When laser is detected, the Laser Warning System installed in the driver's compartment provides warning, giving the driver time to check vehicle speed.
  • After speed is checked and adjusted, the driver should turn off the system to enable the officer to detect your vehicle's adjusted speed. Once past the speed trap, turn it back on. Installation

On 45 North today laser mask goes off breifely, no Pro 78. About a half mile down a cop turns on his lights on the other side of the freeway! Laser mask is crazy sensative!

Well I was hauling a$$ down I-10 going to work after I got off 45, and I come over a hill right before 610, and BAM! Pro 78 and Laser Mask both alert! I see an officer about 1000 feet ahead. I modify my speed in the range of +30/-30 mph, go under a hill and it stops alerting. Come up right on him and he kinda looks at me and then keeps shooting.

Video Cam Report 

This video was posted by one of our satisfied customers who actually istalled a video cam in his car how cool is that. He is using a LaserMask LCM Jamming System which alerted him to the threat and if speeding he would have had time to slow down while the Jammer protected him from a speed reading on the officers gun.

  The officer had just got out of his cruiser and this was the first targeted vehicle. This is one of those worse case senerios where your first in line. Had this been in a more normal situation you wold have been alerted at a much futher distance. This is where you would have gotten a ticket if speeding  wihtout the protection of the LaserMask LCM Jamming system.
