  1. Start with mounting the two transceivers (Heads)in the front of the vehicle. These heads must be mounted correctly for optimal Jamming output. First make sure you find the best placement area on the vehicle. Remember the officers are trained to shoot for the front license plate first and then go on to the headlights. They look for the most reflective spot on the target vehicle. We recommend placing the heads in the best location based on this information. Each  brand and model vehicle of course will be different. Choose the location closest to the specifications in the manual and within this installation article below.

Professional installation shop; please read the entire installation guide and carefully follow the instructions.

2 Adjusting the transceivers

After making sure the transceivers are mounted correctly read further for determining top or bottom of transceivers. The bracket is attached correctly out of the box. Make sure the unit is mounted with the bracket on top. Never mount the unit with the bracket on the bottom, The heads must be level to the road and we suggest using a small bubble level this is very important. This will allow the LaserMask to perform properly with maximum Jamming power output.

3 Setting Up Interface Box

Locate a suitable place for the interface box inside the car's interior. Normally this is on the drivers side under the dash close to the fuse box and positive + 12 volt wiring locations. We do not recommend the interface box being mounted in the engine compartment because of moisture, heat, vibration etc.. I some cases you may not have a choice or it would be much easier to install in the engine compartment. NOTE if mounted in engine compartment the head must be placed in a extremely protective location with the interface enclosed in a water tight enclosure. A professional installer should have no problem with this type of install. The cables from the transceiver heads mounted in front are plugged into two of the jacks on the interface box.

Connect the red wire (positive+) from the interface box to a 12 Volt power supply that is activated when the key is on. Connect the black wire (negative -) to a suitable ground.

Place a strip of double back tape on the interface box and mount to vehicle pressing firmly for a secure attachment.

4 Installing Laser Alert Speaker

Locate a suitable place for the laser alert speaker. The unit is often located on the dashboard. For a less noticeable installation select a location lower than the dash board. Some users chose to locate the unit underneath the dashboard. However, in this type of installation the red LED will not be visible and we recommend the volume is set on high.

Once mounted with the double back tape, route the speaker wire through the body of the vehicle to the interface box and connect the cable. Connect the other end to the speaker and set the volume to mid range. Adjust the volume to your preference once the system is activated.

5 Operation

When the engine is started the system will go through a self check and the LED light will go from red to green in a few seconds.  When the engine is off the LED should be off. If the LED does not come on the device is not working properly. Check power and cable connections. Important information the LaserMask is designed to be fully automatic and will only come on when engine is running. You never have to worry about system being tuned on or off. Some customers like to add a switch to the interface to manually shut the system down after being targeted and your vehicle has slowed to posted speed limit. This will allow law enforcement to get a proper reading which would be more like a normal encounter to them.
